Caryn's Caramel

combine in a medium sized sauce pan on low heat:

2 Cups brown sugar
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 cube butter
1 Cup corn syrup

Once all ingredients have melted, increase heat to medium high.Stir caramel contiuously until it comes to a rolling boil. If caramel begins to scorch, decrease heat. Continue to stir caramel until it reaches soft ball stage.

Add 1 tsp vanilla

for caramel apples dip room temperature apples into caramel and place on parchment paper to set at room temperature
